We Welcome Brian Blake back to Mount Zion. Brian is the Assistant Principal of the

Thank You! For Our after worship fellowship coordinators! We thank those of you who
accept the responsibility of being a Sunday morning "coordinator!"
Important! After Worship Fellowship. Please remember that if you are a "coordinator" at "after
worship refreshments" you do not have to bring food. Simply do two things. (1) Put out the food we have
on hand and (2) Clean up after the fellowship time. The Following People have agreed to be coordinators
(Thank You!) for the month of August. Today, August 13th Melanie Stranix, Sunday, August 20th Judy Piel
& Nancy Cross. NO ONE FOR THE FINAL TWO SUNDAYS IN AUGUST. To sign up for the month August
please call Linda King 410-848-8413.
Even If You Are Not Responsible for After Worship Refreshments, please bring something for" light"
after worship refreshments. A bag of chips, pretzels, crackers/cheese, soft drinks. We depend on snack
donations! Make a financial donation to the cost of coffee and paper supplies.
A Quick Word about Our Financial Foundation - Mount Zion does not have any secret
source of funds in which to keep our witness alive in the community. We simply depend
directly week by week on the faithfulness of our many friends and members. We give
thanks to God for each one of you who take seriously your commitment to the ministry,
programs and outreach of this congregation.
Your personal invitation might be the only way someone comes to Mount Zion! Share the
invitation for summer worship.
Support The "Back To School Program" of the Shepherd's Staff. Information on how you can
personally help by purchasing school supplies or making a financial donation is contained in the August
issue of the church newsletter. Please take a moment to read the insert. Thank you for thinking of children

Feed Our Goat! Sometimes It Gets Hungry! - Remember every time you go to the grocery store!!
The "most needed" items are: Toilet Paper, powdered laundry detergent (they divide it up into smaller
units for distribution), Small sizes of deodorant, shampoo, also trash bags, dish soap, Pine Sol, paper
towels, diapers and Pull-ups of all sizes. All items go to the Blessings Closet at the Shepherd's Staff
Christian Ministry. Thanks for thinking of others. Mount Zion has a "long-time special relationship with the
Christian outreach called the Shepherd Staff. This award winning outreach program does not receive
Federal or State funding. It is up to those who believe that Jesus calls us to reach out to those in need!
Our "goat" receptacle is located just inside the Social Hall door.
We need Sunday morning volunteers to put out after worship refreshments and clean up.
See Linda King this morning!
The Back to School Program of the Shepherd's Staff - Although Mount Zion has made a
financial commitment to this important program through our Church Council many of our friends &
members would like to go the extra mile. If you would like to help "children in need" please read the
insert (on the back of the cover) on the August issue of our church newsletter. You could purchase school
supplies and deliver them directly to the Shepherd's Staff office on Carroll Street in Westminster or bring
